Turns out we’re not such early adopters. With 3.4 million housing units in NJ (per the US Census), Verizon has installed 1 million FIOS lines in homes and businesses. Even if half of the installs were for businesses, that’s a big chunk out of Comcast’s and Cablevision’s subscriber base.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons why Comcast’s stock is down 29% for the year.
