Tragedy was averted recently in Glen Ridge when a Gaslight fire didn’t injure anyone. (Okay, a bit sensationalistic.)

How many gaslights do we have left in Cranford? Besides the one that they gave a cameo in “Guess Who” a couple years back? Four? Five? Enough to make it the little logo of cranford.com? Sure the sodium lamps are safer, more energy efficient, deter crime with their retina-searing brightness, and rely on good ol’ coal-burning electrical power as opposed to Natural Gas.

Well, the Glen Ridge folks seem to like their top-notch schools and their legitimate gaslights, but they also like paying 30 grand in property taxes for those perks.

I guess those sodium lamps aren’t that bad, after all.
