Caught most of the presentation on TV35. While I like it better than the Hekemian garage mish-mash, I think it’s a little dense.
And yes, I’m bitter that it doesn’t have canals. I think that they’d be cool.
But you know what? It isn’t that bad. Ground floor parking makes sense as it would be easy to get cars out if there is a flood of the millennium. People are also lazy and don’t want to walk up or down stairs when parking. The set backs make sense.
Besides the density, I’d have like more river emphasis.
Regardless, it is miles ahead of what is there now. We need the taxes; we could use something nicer there.
My vote: build the damn thing, I’m tired of the obsessing over it.
