US Attorney Chris Christie’s resignation is timely…it gives him enough time to start an exploratory committee for Governor, start raising money, and averts any bad publicity when Obama would have thrown him out in January.

He seems to poll pretty well, and he has compiled a pretty decent record in cleaning up corruption (my only knock would be that he didn’t go after enough politicians). And I’m sure he’d be more knowledgable on how to solve the economic problems of NJ than our esteemed governor after reading one briefing book (if he’s not already).
