Just about every day, Governor Corzine manages to ignite anger in some constituency that is not the NJEA or Communication Workers of America.

Here he must have seen polling numbers with about zero favorability for eliminating the deductibility of property tax payments.

Which is one of the absolutely dumbest ideas he’s had in, oh, at least the past month.

Property taxes are already almost 10% of our gross incomes, removing the deductibility would make it about, what, 12%?

And for his part, nothing would be cut and we’d get universal pre-school.

But take heart, another boneheaded idea is just around the corner!
