Leaders of the Machinists Union in South Carolina see why the Card Check legislation is so urgently needed…in their eyes.

The Boeing employees understand that the action they took will do more to keep their jobs than anything the union could do (like not have any additional eight week strikes).

I’ve said this for years: in any labor market that is not rurally isolated, unions don’t make any sense.  If the labor market is competitive, then employers will be forced to provide a decent environment to attract talented applicants.

And the Boeing workers seem to understand that as well.
